Victory to Balljamesduff U-14s and U-12s in SFAI Cup

Our U-14s travelled to Letterkenny on Sunday 23rd of October and won 6-1 in the SFAI Cup to reach the last 32 in the competition. Congratulations and thanks to Martin Ward and Fran Delaney on their efforts.

Congratulations to the U-12 on Saturday the 22nd of October for also progressing in this competition. Many thanks to Lynda O'Connor and Brendan O'Rourke who steered this team to success.

U-11 Menton-Seery Cup

As the first round of the SFAI National Cup commenced, Ballyjamesduff A squad travelled to Donegal Side Glencar just outside Mannorcunningham. This Competition is running on a trial basis with it being 9-a-side instead of the usual 11-a-side.

It ended up to be a bit of a 1 sided affair with Ballyjamesduff running out clear winners in the end with goals from Cian Boylan who got a hat-trick, plus a brace from Eoin O`Reilly and James O`Reilly following up with a goal as well.

It was good overall round team effort with all players contributing to the result from goalie to substitutes.

In the 2nd round, it will be a local derby between the 2 teams that represented Ballyjamesduff in the Summer League. It will be the 2002 taking on the older age group of 2001 to see who will progress in to the next round of 32 in Ireland.

U-12 Norton Cup

In the U-12 Section Balyjamesduff cruised to the 2nd round of the competition in which they defeated a highly rated Donegal Side convincingly with a score line of 7-0.

Ballyjamesduff were slow to start off but once goals from Adam O`Connor and Brandon Boylan got them of the mark in the first half they never looked back to finish up 7-0.

In the 2nd round they travel to Ballyraine in Donegal on the 15/16th of October along with BJD U-14s.

Sheelin is New Training Pitch for 11 a side

Our Season For U-7s, U-8s, U-9s and U-10s is coming to an end

Our U-10s Under New Management: Karl Stewart who is doing a great job with his squad. The team was beaten in the cup final after a penalty shoot-out but is still in a play-off against Cavan Shamrocks for the league title.

Our U-9s Under New Management: Martin Kiernan had a great year winning both cup and league and there are some great up and coming players in this squad.
The U-9 team also won the Lee Myles Lucchesi Tournament in Dundalk beating 6 teams on their way. Congratulations to the managers Martin Kiernan and Karl Stewart.

Our U-8s Under New Management: Des Mulvey and David Majorie won several blitzs with the U-8s and they have them in great shape for next year's U-9 league, when they will be a force to be reckoned with.

U-7s and U-6s This squad of players give great value and you have to hand it to their manager Jim Hayes who is teaching them the skills of soccer and playing in blitzs. Both manager and players love it.
As this season ends, it is very encouraging that there is a great squad coming on line to maintain the future of the club.
